Good Morning, dear ones.
It's snowing outside. About an hour ago I was standing in the kitchen and AK yells from the living room, "MOM! It's SNOWING!!" We ran out to our little balcony and watched the tiniest snowflakes, the first of the season, make their way to the ground. The best part about it, though, was the pure JOY that lit up AK's face as she watched it and said, "It's snowing. Snow! It's just the BEST time of the year!" I love having a kid. She helps me savor moments like this so much more.
A few of my favorite things this week.........
Christy Nockels new Christmas Album, The Thrill of Hope, has been our theme music this Christmas season. I have come to love her heart behind her music even more since listening to her podcast, the Glorious in the Mundane. The way she savors and sings the Truth stirs my heart to know Him more.
This Organic Herringbone Throw from Magnolia Market. I like my throws.
Loving the necklaces from this new company I've discovered, Dear Mushka. Psalm 34 is one of my most treasured Psalms so the Radiance necklace caught me eye immediately, and Psalm 23 has come to be a beloved one in my heart this past year and the simplicity of the Staff necklace is lovely. So many beautiful pieces and it's a gift to support shops that flesh out the truth of Scripture in their pieces.
This is the year that I pass on the tradition of the American Girl doll to my little one and my inner child is giddy. Kit shall be waiting under the Christmas tree for AK this year and I cannot wait to see her face.
Christmas in Connecticut is one of my favorite holiday time movies. Give me a stack of classic movies, a cup of hot cocoa, and a roaring fire, and I will be content for a very long time. Also, I'd like to live in that exact home o' dreams in the woods of Connecticut.
This Woodside Pullover Sweater from Madewell has made its way onto my Christmas list. I think I would wear it while enjoying the previously mentioned scenario.
Have you all seen Sophie and Lili Watercolor Portraits? This is on my list of "to purchase and frame" for AK's room.
I adore Emily Lex and her style and creativity. All that she sells in her shop at Jones Design Company gives me major design inspiration. I'm a sucker for a good mug and the Word Mugs she's selling are a new favorite find.
Jen Wilkin's new book, None Like Him, is at the top of my 2017 reading list. He is the best thing of all and I want the way I live in 2017 to reflect my belief in that truth even more.
My little sister showed me these Alex Chelsea Rain Boots at Target a couple weeks ago and I think they make a great wardrobe staple for much of the year.
Tonight we are making on of our top 10 favorite recipes, Irish Beef Stew. Once the extra cold weather hits this is all we crave. Tonight we are building a fire, turning on a Christmas movie, and filling our mouths with bowls of this stew and crusty bread. The perfect end to our Friday.
Any favorite finds from your weeks, lovelies? What are your weekend plans?
Happiest Friday to you all!
