Oh, you guys, this place. My family lived here for 8 months when I was 13 and, ever since then, this Colorado state has held a large piece of my heart. So, what a delightful addition it was that when I was gifted the dearest family-in-love I was also gifted another piece of this place.

The mountains, the bluffs, the rivers and streams, and that gloriously open sky -- they are awe-inspiring and, at the same time, so very peaceful. As I watched this sunset off the deck last night, the colors growing more intense each moment, the open fields of the farm across the stress dotted with perfectly formed hay bales, the landscape changing from pastures to bluffs to foothills to mountains, I felt so thankful. Thankful that the most glorious, creative Artist gave us this incredible world, with its different textures and canvases, landscapes and skies, to enjoy. And can you even imagine what Heaven is going to be like!?

And speaking of enjoyment.....

I mean, how can your heart not burst with joy!? My goodness, I love that face.

01 || These Ina Garten Sticky Buns are a perfectly delicious compliment to morning coffee. The butter and brown sugar mixture melts into every crevice of the puff pastry dough and it's just flat-out good.

02 || One of my most favorite and admired blogger lovelies is Mary Beth Johnson. This woman is inspiring in her creativity, her writing, and her witty, thoughtful, sweet heart that is so evident in each instagram picture and blogpost. She recently started a website/blog dubbed Schooner Kids and it's fabulous. She, along with some other talented ladies, are filling this piece of web up with thoughtful, wise, beautiful, timeless resources that my mama heart is super grateful to gain!

03 || Labor Day Sales are in full swing. JCrew Factory is having a 50% off sale, Gap is having an up-to 40% off sale, Loft is having a 30% off fall styles and 50% off summer styles sale, and Old Navy is having an up-to 60% off the whole store sale.

04 || I wish I could send each one of you a copy of Elisabeth Elliot's book Keep A Quiet Heart, my friends. This book never leaves my nightstand. What a wise, grace-filled legacy this woman left. The Lord was kind to give the world such a gem.

05 || In one section of the afore-mentioned wonderful book, Elisabeth Elliot shares a story about how she asked a friend of hers, a lady who was born with no legs, if she would write a letter to a family whose son had just been born with no legs and no arms. The entire portion of the letter she shares in the book is just one of the most beautiful, joyful, Christ-exalting things I've ever read, and I just wanted to share a portion with you.

"You as a family have been chosen in a special way to display HIs unique Masterwork. I pray that your roots of faith will grow deep down into the faithfulness of God's Loving Plan, that you will exchange your inadequacy for the Adequacy of Jesus' resurrection power, and that you will be awed as you witness the fruits of the Spirit manifested in your family."

Happy Labor Day Weekend, dear ones. I hope it's a sweet one for you!
