Happy Friday, lovelies!

I'm not feeling very clever or interesting at this moment, so I'm just going to jump right into my little bits and pieces here. ;) Sometimes your brain just feels a bit empty.

I bought this Striped Linen-Blend Shift Dress at Old Navy a couple weeks ago and I am quite the fan. In fact, as I sit here typing this I am sporting this latest purchase of mine. It's cool and delightfully comfy. It's also blue, and I can never have enough of that color in my closest, so yay. :) The only negative? The fact that whenever I put it on I want to go walk on the beach. It would be the perfect beach dress.

Blueberries go hand-in-hand with summertime, don't you think? I'm in major blueberry mode lately, and after going blueberry picking today, I'm especially eager to make a couple fabulous desserts highlighting that tart little blue-ish/purple-y hued guy.

Both these recipes are from Pinterest. A blueberry cobbler with a more biscuit-like topping and a blueberry pie. Some vanilla ice cream or homemade whipped cream and you will have entered paradise, my friend.

We had a family trip up to the library the other day and I walked down memory book lane when I start searching through the chapter books in the kids section. Nancy Drew Mysteries, Little House on the Prairie, the Narnia series, Charlotte's Web, and so many others. All those books that bring sweet childhood memories flooding back, and I just got so giddy about getting to read them to my Little and introducing her to all these characters and these stories. Oh, literature, what a gift you are. I put The Boxcar Children in our book pile, brought home with us and, last night, I started reading it to AK. It's our first chapter book to read with her and she got sucked right in! She actually got upset that we stopped and I realized I had to explain the concept of chapters to her, because in her mind, we weren't at the end so why in the world would we have stopped reading!?

Moments like this with her are some of thousands that I wrap up and place in that mommy hood memory box to keep forever.

Did any of you read The Boxcar Children books? What other chapter books/series did ya'll read as kids??

I wanted to share a little reminder, too, that I'm going to start my book study on True Beauty next week! I would love if any of you all would like to join myself and a couple other lovelies in doing this study. I am so eager to get into this book and I'm so grateful to share it with you all!

I'm thankful that Friday is here and I hope you all have the most beautiful and restful weekend, my friends!
