Signs that the glorious fall season is in full swing. We collected leaves outside with friends today and it just gives me all the warm fuzzies making memories with AK that I remember so vividly from my childhood, too; the leaf colllecting, the apple cider sipping, the pumpkin bread devouring. We have an autumn spice candle burning and it instantly puts me back to the scents that our filled our home growing up in the autumn months. Isn't it amazing the way that scents can put you back to past memories!? It makes me all the more eager to fill our home with all the wonderful senses so that, one day, when Little is grown up and in her own home she will think back to days like this and have those memories to make her feel all the warm fuzzies, too.
A few of my favorite things........
01 || Whatever your musical preference you cannot deny that Josh Groban is one gifted man. I came across his newest CD, Stages, the other day and track #3 had me feeling all the things that a pure voice and a beautiful song make you feel. You must listen.
02 || I made this shrimp pasta last night and I was ready for my leftovers today. So simply scrumptious.
03 || If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw me share this Anne of Green Gables quote: "I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers." I wholeheartedly agree with dear Anne and it rings more true every year. I'd love to have this print of it for home.
04 || Plaid is a must in the fall days, I'm a big fan. Kids in plaid? Forget about it. This buffalo plaid ruffle shirt is going on the list of must-haves for AK's fall/winter wardrobe.
05 || I am entering the Harry Potter world for the first time, my friends, and after the first few pages I had one main observation: J.K. Rowling is brilliant, truly brilliant. Have you all read the series? What are your thoughts or favorite book in the series?
06 || I sent this quote to my dear friend for her birthday and I just adore it:
"Why did you do all this for me?" he asked. "I don't deserve it. I've never done anything for you." "You have been my friend," replied Charlotte. "That in itself is a tremendous thing."
I hope you lovelies have a happy October weekend ahead! I'm heading to Nashville tomorrow to spend some time with one of my dearest friends to celebrate her birthday and have some mommy away time. I'm very eager to fill up on coffee, cupcakes, store toodling, and long girlfriend chats! And then I have the wonderfulness of coming home which is always the best way to cap off a lovely trip.
Happy Friday to you all!
